Finally, a dream realized! Not only is NonesuchGarden.com live, it now has its very own shopping cart!

After researching a few different shopping cart services, I decided to give BigCartel a whirl. It was designed with artists in mind and is fairly easy to use and customize. My shop is just the basic “Sexy” theme with quite a bit of CSS code tweaking. I’m not versed in CSS code, but I managed to make my shop look more or less like the rest of my website without too much trouble. (Searching Google for coding tips helped!) I’m very pleased with what I was able to accomplish!

What does this mean for my Etsy Shop? Nothing really! I will still keep my Etsy Shop obsessively well maintained. For now, my BigCartel shop will only feature Open Edition dolls that I have in stock. Etsy will feature all of my Made to Order, Limited Edition, and Seasonal dolls. This will help me avoid selling the same item at both locations by mistake. If BigCartel proves to be successful for me I may give it a little more priority, but I’m going to keep it small for now and see how it goes.
